Hi. I’m Joy! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. This space has evolved so many times over the years to go along with each season of life, and coming back here to write has always felt like home. If you’re new, let me tell you a little about myself.

I love Jesus and all He has done for me. I hope I can always be a witness to others about His grace, mercy, and forgiveness. This is one of my favorite verses:

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17

My favorite hobby is baking and I love sharing my bakes with others and including my boys in the process. I have a useless B.A. degree in Public Relations and Business Communication. I stay home and homeschool my kids and tbh that was always my dream. I also enjoy dabbling in embroidery and taking bad pictures for the sake of memories. I will always listen to music over a podcast or book, and if you bring me to a pool I’ll be underwater in some big goggles more than I’ll be laying on a pool chair.

I met and married my husband, Tom, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2013. He is truly my best friend and makes me laugh every day. He is a Product Software Designer (here's his website if you're interested) and also one of the handiest people I know. Brains and brawn, all in one.

In late 2014, we moved to the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. We spent only 3.5 years there. It was simply not “home” and far too big of a city for us to settle in. In all honesty, they were the worst years of my life. Though, that time did lead to good things (our dog, a memorable trip overseas, and a sweet church home).

Next we moved to Nashville, Tennessee in late 2017. What a breath of fresh air and truly a place to call home! We spent 8 happy years there and honestly thought we’d live there for good. So much life happened in those years. We had two children (our boys - Silas and Ike), Tom started working remote full-time, and we loved our sweet Bernese Mountain Dog (Hondo) until he passed away from cancer in early 2025. We went to many concerts, shows, and family events over the years and loved being a part of our church family. It was truly such a blessing in that season of life and we left with so much fondness and love.

Which leads me to the next adventure - full-timing! With Tom being a remote worker and homeschooling our boys already, we decided to take a risk and do what we love - travel! So in 2026, we sold our home, most of our possessions and extra vehicles, and moved into a 46’ fifth wheel that we tow with a F450 truck.

Well, I think that covers it.

I’m so glad to have you here and I hope you’ll join the fun of following all the ups and downs of RV life. All the joys and flops, and trials and adventures - I’ll tell it all.
